Plus: How to add speed to your golf swing

Good Morning! Another weekend is here and before you head out to the golf course, don’t forget to check out our drill to add more speed to your golf swing. (Driving Range).

Fun Fact: This is the first time across Presidents Cup, Ryder Cup or Solheim Cup history that sessions have been swept back-to-back.

⛳ This day in history: On this date in 1997 at Valderrama Golf Club in Spain, Europe won 14½-13½ for the first of seven straight victories at home by the Europeans.

Presidents Cup: Teams Tied At 5-5

After the US side swept the first five matches Thursday at Royal Montreal, the International team bounced back with a clean sweep of its own in foursomes. After two sessions, the match is tied at 5-5.

It marked the first time in Presidents Cup history with multiple session sweeps and just the second time the International Team has swept a session (2003).

Sungjae Im and Hideki Matsuyama boat-raced the pairing of Patrick Cantlay-Xander Schauffele in the first foursomes (alternate shot) match, 7 and 6, tying the largest margin of victory in a foursome match.

The second match proved to be another beat down with Adam Scott and Canadian Taylor Pendrith routing the American side of Collin Morikawa and Sahith Theegala, 5 and 4.

Canadians Corey Conners and Mackenzie Hughes then delivered another resounding victory, trouncing Wyndham Clark and Tony Finau, 6 and 5.

Christiaan Bezuidenhout, who had missed countless putts on Thursday, poured them in on Friday and sparked a 1-up win with Australian Jason Day over Max Homa and Brian Harman.

The biggest upset of the day though was South Koreans Ben An and Si Woo Kim edging world No 1 Scottie Scheffler and Russell Henley.

This will go down as the greatest turnaround in Presidents Cup history, and even more stunning considering the Internationals hadn’t won a Foursomes session since 2005.

The course at Royal Montreal is a tight, tree-lined parkland layout, emphasising the importance of accuracy from the tee and elite ball striking - let's take a look at the most popular drivers in the players' bags for this week.

⛳️ International Team's Most Played Driver: Despite all twelve drivers on the International team deriving from just four manufacturers, there is a wide array of models on display. The Ping G430 LST driver is by far the most favored on this team with four team members putting what is commonly known as one of the best drivers on the market this year in their bag.

Titleist is also heavily represented with four drivers in play but by way of four different models. These were the GT2, GT3, GT4 and an older TSi2 model in the bag of Sungjae Im.

⛳️ Team US' Most Played Driver: The Ping G430 LST driver once again claims the spoils of most used drivers on the US Presidents Cup team.

Titleist actually has more drivers in play on this team (five) with multiple different models. There are two Titleist GT2 drivers in play alongside various other new and older models.

⛳️ Most Played Driver Overall: Despite Titleist winning the overall driver count, it’s the Ping G430 LST model that is played by seven of the 24 competitors this week at the Presidents Cup. The LST is the lower spinning alternative to the standard G430 Max driver, known as one of the most forgiving drivers on the market.

All of the Callaway models in play are also the brand's lowest spinning models - the Triple Diamond with both Min Woo Lee and as mentioned above, Sam Burns in an even lower spinning model only offered on tour.
