Day 3 On All 3 PGA Tour Championships

PGA Tour: 2023 Butterfield Bermuda Championship

Alex Noren goes bogey free to lead Camilo Villegas after Round 3 at Butterfield Bermuda Championship. Noren will be going for his first PGA TOUR victory and his first worldwide win since the French Open in 2018, the year the Swede played in the Ryder Cup.

In 27 previous starts this season, Noren has six top-25 finishes and three top-10s. His last worldwide win came at the 2018 HNA Open de France.

LPGA: The ANNIKA Driven

LPGA Tour winner Amy Yang took full advantage of Moving Day at The ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge at Pelican, blitzing Pelican Golf Club with a bogey-free, 9-under 61 that saw her make seven birdies and an eagle on the par-4 5th hole.

It’s the first time a 61 has been recorded on the LPGA Tour since Atthaya Thitikul last did so on day two of the 2022 Walmart NW Arkansas Championship presented by P&G, and it sets the new 18-hole tournament scoring record for The ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge at Pelican.

PGA Tour: Charles Schwab Cup Championship

New Zealand's Steven Alker shot a 6-under 65 on Saturday to pull away for sole possession of the lead after three rounds of the Charles Schwab Cup Championship in Phoenix.

Alker entered the day tied with Marco Dawson for the lead before carding seven birdies against one bogey to build a four-stroke advantage at 17-under 196 for the tournament. German Alex Cejka sits in second after shooting a third-round 68.

These records are truly mind-boggling, but in the modern era, where the strength in depth throughout the game is so much greater, it’s hard to imagine any player dominating for an extended period of time. Consistency is a factor, too.

Many of Woods’ records appear impenetrable; he’s left an indelible impression on the record books: 18 World Golf Championship victories, 82 PGA Tour titles (tied with Sam Snead) and 52 straight rounds of par or better. When he calls it quits, will we ever again witness such remarkable consistency?

Here are a few:

  • Phil Mickelson: 26 Years Inside The World's Top 50

  • Tiger Woods: 683 Weeks At World No.1

  • Jack Nicklaus: 24 Years Between First And Last Major Win
