Good morning. The PGA Tour’s RBC Heritage is set for a Monday finish due to inclement weather but there were no such problems at the Chevron Championship, the LPGA’s first major of the year.

Nelly Korda created history, winning her fifth consecutive LPGA title - check out the equipment she used and the complete prize money breakdown.

The final round of the RBC Heritage resumes today at 8 am ET.

Today's Trivia: Nelly Korda just won her 5th consecutive LPGA title. Who was the last American player to win 5 times in a season on the LPGA Tour? Answer at the end of the email.

⛳️ This Day In History: On this date in 1973, Arnold Palmer shot a 75 in the final round of the Tournament of Champions on the PGA Tour. He had gained entry into the elite field by winning the Bob Hope tournament in February, which was his last regular tour victory. In Palmer’s final Tournament of Champions, he tied for 19th.

The final round of the RBC Heritage was suspended because of darkness due to inclement weather and will resume on Monday at 8 am ET.

📍Monday Finish: Nine players, including leader Scottie Scheffler, have yet to complete the Round 4 on Hilton Head Island.

It's set to be the second unscheduled Monday finish on the PGA Tour this season following the Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches.

🚀 Scheffler Leads By 5: World No 1 Scottie Scheffler is on the verge of becoming the first player since Bernhard Langer in 1985 to win the week after bagging the Masters green jacket.

He leads by five shots (thru 15), sitting comfortably ahead of Clark, Cantlay, Poston and Theegala. A win looks inevitable.

🏥 Spieth Injured: Jordan Spieth's wrist continues to bother him and almost forced the American to withdraw from the RBC Heritage. He eventually finished T-39.

The injury first affected the three-time Major champion at last year's PGA Championship and Spieth is yet to find a permanent fix.

🚩 Why Weren't Tee Times Moved Up? The Tour’s published weather forecast called for an 80 percent chance of rain around 4 pm ET and a 40 percent chance of lightning. But they didn't move the tee times.

According to Gary Young, (VP, PGA Tour) that's because there was only a 30 percent chance of thunderstorms when they were making the decision.

This Is Golf's Masterplan For A Sustainable Future

Today is World Earth Day and we take a look at the big strides that the golf industry has been making as a part of its push toward a more sustainable future.

🌍 29% Reduction In Water Use: Golf courses across the US have managed to cut back on their reliance on H2O, with a GCSAA survey showing a 29-percent reduction in water use at U.S. courses since 2005.

🌍 14% Reduction In Maintained Turf: Between 2005 and ’21, the average length for 18-hole courses in this country increased by 56 yards. But in 2021, U.S. courses also saw a 14-percent reduction in maintained turf.

Some of that was due to course closures but turf-reduction programs also played a role.

🌍 Drop In Fertilizer Use: Turfs are being more efficiently maintained, with significant reductions in the use of nitrogen (31 percent), potassium (46 percent) and phosphorous (64 percent) since 2005.

🌍 Boom In Best-Management Practices: Water-management. Pest-management. Pollinator protection. Fertilizer applications. All of these fall under best-management practices (BMP).

Since 2005, industry BMP guidelines have been established in all 50 states, providing courses with a clear, science-based sustainability blueprint.

🌍 Move Away From Overseeing: Overseeding is on the outs at a growing number of courses around the country, a prominent example being Pinehurst No 2, which ceased the practice after its 2011 restoration and is about to play host to its second US Open since the change.
