Young On Top in Dubai, Ko Shares Lead At HGV

Cameron Young shot 8-under 64 to take a three-shot lead after Round 2 of the Dubai Desert Classic. Adrian Meronk and Andy Sullivan are tied for the second spot.

Tommy Fleetwood, who won last week, is T15 at 5 under. Rory McIlroy sits T25 at 3 under.

Sam Burns Leads At The AMEX

Five-time PGA Tour winner Sam Burns shot a second-round 61 as he took a one-shot halfway lead at The American Express. Fellow American Michael Kim occupies second place while Patrick Cantlay is tied for the fifth spot.

Scottie Scheffler and Xander Schauffele are further behind at T26.

Lydia Ko Mounts A Strong Comeback

Lydia Ko made a jump of five places to join Ayaka Furue at the top of the HGV Tournament of Champions leaderboard after Round 2. Nelly Korda had a good day and lies T7 while Lilia Vu is T15.

Phil Mickelson

A six-time Major Champion, Mickelson is undoubtedly the best left-hander to play the sport till date. He won the Masters thrice, the PGA Championship twice and The Open Championship once.

Sir Bob Charles

Sir Bob was the first player using left-handed equipment to win a Major title. He achieved this feat in the 1963 Open Championship at Royal Lytham & St Annes.

Bubba Watson

Bubba Watson won the Masters twice - 2012 and 2014. Interestingly, six of the twelve Masters held between 2003 and 2014 were won by golfers playing left-handed.

Mike Weir

At the 2003 Masters, Canada’s Mike Weir won his only Major title. He entered the elite group of left-handed golfers who have triumphed at the Masters, following in the footsteps of Mickelson and Watson.

Brian Harman

Harman became only the fifth left-handed player to win a Major when he triumphed at The Open Championship in 2023.
