Plus: How to stop reverse spine angle

Good morning! Round 2 of the Procore Championship is in progress - you can watch all the action live on Golf Channel.

For live action from the Solheim Cup, tune into either Golf Channel or NBC Sports.

Fun Fact: The 2024 Solheim Cup venue - Robert Trent Jones Golf Club - was also the host of the inaugural Presidents Cup in 1994.

⛳ This day in history: In 1866, at Prestwick, Willie Park, Sr., won for the third time, beating brother Davie Park by two shots. In 1872, also at Prestwick, Tom Morris, Jr., won for the fourth straight time, winning by three strokes over David Strath.

David Lipsky set the first-round lead at the Procore Championship by shooting a 7-under-par 65. Lipsky birdied four of his final six holes at the Silverado Resort's North Course, en route to a 5-under 32 on his back nine.

Lipsky, who entered the week at No 165 in the FedEx Cup point standings, has a simple philosophy for the fall: “Just have a good time and take what comes at me.”

Tied for third at 5-under 67 were Mark Hubbard, Kevin Dougherty, Wilson Furr, Kevin Streelman and Joel Dahmen.

It wasn't the best of rounds for the pre-tournament favorites though - Sahith Theegala lies T-22 with a 3-under par while Wyndham Clark is T-37 with a score of 2-under par.

📌 Hubbard's Wild Week: Mark Hubbard celebrated a day’s good work at the Procore Championship by wolfing down one of Silverado Resort’s famed burger dogs - he carded nine birdies to register a score of 5-under 67.

Hubbard almost missed playing in one of his favorite tournaments on the PGA Tour and it was all his fault. He missed Friday’s 5 pm ET deadline to register for the tournament itself.

There weren’t any sponsor invites available, so Hubbard did the next best thing: he decided to play the Monday qualifier and carried his good form into Round 1.

Why Nelly Korda's $350,000 Watch Stands Out

Photo: Imago | Source: NBC Sports

Nelly Korda has been donning luxury watch brand, Richard Mille since the late 2010. Heading into the Solheim Cup at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in Virginia, the World No 1 has been spotted wearing a red, white and blue colorway on her Nike shoes, as well as an eye-catching Richard Mille RM 07-04 watch.

Released in 2023, Richard Mille claims it's their 'first women's sports watch'. Priced at $350,000, it's crammed with technology and was designed in collaboration with six professional athletes, including Korda herself.

The other athletes include professional motorsport drivers Aurora Straus and Margot Laffite, as well heptathlete Nafi Thiam, high jumper Yuliya Levchenko and three time Olympic gold medalist skier Ester Ledecka.

Nelly's brother Sebastian, and sister Jessica, are also ambassadors of Richard Mille and, back in May 2023, the sisters were present in Singapore to mark the launch of the model. On that evening, Nelly was wearing the RM 07-04, whilst Jessica was wearing a $250,000, RM 07-01 Racing Red.

It's not just the Kordas who wear Richard Mille, though, as two-time Masters winner, Bubba Watson, can be seen regularly wearing the 'Richard Mille RM 38-02 Tourbillon Bubba Watson', a model that will cost you $2.5 million!

Tiger vs Jack: Who's The Greatest Of All-Time?

Photo: Reuters | Source: Yardbarker Golf

Would Tiger Woods playing to the peak of his powers in the 1990s or 2000s have beaten the Jack Nicklaus of the 1960s and 1970s?

Today we take a look at a selection of criteria to try and determine - Is The Greatest Golfer Of All Time Tiger Woods Or Jack Nicklaus?

⛳️ Majors: This is where Jack has an obvious edge – He secured 18 Major titles compared to Tiger’s current tally of 15. Jack completed the career Grand Slam three times over, so has Tiger Woods, so they're even on that front.

In terms of top-10 Major finishes, Jack recorded an astonishing 55 further of those, aside from his 18 wins. In 19 of those top-10 finishes, he was runner-up. Tiger has had 26 further top-10 finishes in Majors, and seven of those have been second, or tied second place finishes.

⛳️ Victories and Orders of Merit: Jack Nicklaus secured 73 PGA Tour titles between 1962 and 1986, he won three times in Australia and picked up 24 further event wins in (pre senior competition) – a total of 100 professional victories then.

Tiger Woods has won 82 times on the PGA Tour – Equal with Sam Snead for the most ever on the circuit. He has won another 28 times around the world for a total of 110 professional victories to this point.

Nicklaus topped the PGA Tour money list eight times between 1964 and 1976. Tiger topped the PGA Tour money list 10 times between 1997 and 2013.

⛳️ Team Events: In the Ryder Cup – Jack played in six instalments of the famous biennial trans-Atlantic contest and was in the winning side for five of those matches, the other (1969) was a tie. Jack’s record in the Ryder Cup is 17 wins 8 losses and 3 ties. That’s a win percentage of 61%.

Tiger played in eight Ryder Cups and has only once been on the winning side – 1999 at Brookline. Tiger’s Ryder Cup record is 13 wins 12 losses 3 ties. That’s a win percentage of just 46%.

So where do we stand? If it’s purely down to The Majors, Jack wins. If it’s down to individual, overall performance, Tiger wins.
