Cristobal Del Solar fired a 13-under 57 at Country Club de Bogota-Pacos at the Korn Ferry’s Astara Golf Championship and become the first player ever to post a 57 in a PGA Tour-sanctioned event.
He tied the world record - David Carey was the first player with a 57, a feat he achieved in the 2019 Cervino Open on the Alps Tour.
Del Solar posted nine birdies and two eagles to create history but he believes there was room for more.
“I would say around three missed opportunities that could have been a potentially even greater round."
Lucas Glover Withdraws After Missing Tee Time
2009 US Open Champion Lucas Glover had to withdraw from the WM Phoenix Open after missing his tee time. Glover was scheduled to tee off at 8:26 a.m. ET but he was in his hotel room at the time.
He wasn't aware of his schedule until the officials called him just minutes before and confirmed his disqualification.
First alternate Ryo Hisatsune replaced Glover in the field at TPC Scottsdale.
