The Chevron Championship, LPGA Tour’s first major of the year takes centre stage this week.

Nelly Korda enters this week's Chevron Championship on a 4-start win streak and as an outright favorite. The only other player in LPGA history to head into a major off 4+ straight wins was Annika Sorenstam in 2005.

⛳ This day in history: On this date in 1995, Raymond Floyd won the PGA Seniors' Championship at PGA National, by five shots over Larry Gilbert, Lee Trevino and John Paul Cain.

This Putter Makes Scheffler Invincible

Scottie Scheffler won over $21 million in prize money last season but was one of the PGA Tour’s worst putters.

He switched to a TaylorMade Spider Tour X putter this season and it's working wonders, making him absolutely invincible.

📌 The Putter Effect: Scheffler first used the new putter at the Arnold Palmer Invitational in March and won, leading the field that week in Strokes Gained: Putting. The following week, he won again at the 2024 Players Championship.

At the Masters, Scheffler only three-putted twice throughout the week. He made 20 birdies and one eagle over his four rounds.

💰 The Big Bucks: With his second Masters victory, good for $3.6 million, Scheffler has amassed $57,658,464 in career on-course earnings on the PGA Tour and entered the top 10 of the all-time money list.

He is also one of 12 players in the history of the PGA Tour to reach the $50 million plateau in on-course earnings.

📸 The Big Bash: Scheffler said he would celebrate the Masters victory by having a good drink back home and he did just that.

When he got back to Dallas, he paid a visit to the Inwood Tavern to celebrate. Scheffler rocked the green jacket over the outfit he wore in the final round - though he did swap out his hat.

⏳ Rory Adds More Events: Rory McIlroy has increased his playing schedule between the Masters and the upcoming PGA Championship next month, just like he did before the Masters.

McIlroy will participate in this week's RBC Heritage, followed by the Zurich Classic alongside his partner Shane Lowry in New Orleans just days later. He has then scheduled a break before playing the Wells Fargo Championship, a week prior to the PGA.

Just one player has won a Grand Slam, while five have won a career Grand Slam - here are the golfers who are a part of this illustrious list.

🏌‍♀Bobby Jones: Jones is the only player to achieve the Grand Slam. He did so in 1930 with wins over Roger Wethered at The Amateur, Leo Diegel and Macdonald Smith at The Open, Smith again at the US Open and Eugene V Homans at the US Amateur.

🏌‍♀Gene Sarazen: Sarazen became the first player to win the modern-era career Grand Slam in 1935, when he won The Masters in its second year following his victories at the US Open (1922,1932), The Open (1932) and the PGA Championship (1922,1923,1933).

🏌‍♀Ben Hogan: In 1953, Ben Hogan won The Masters, US Open and The Open to complete his career Grand Slam. He had earlier won the PGA Championship in 1946.
