Tiger Woods has been tipped to lead the United States team at the next Ryder Cup in New York. The Americans lost 16-12 at Marco Simone under Zach Johnson's leadership in 2023 and will look to bounce back during the next edition at home in 2025.
Three-time Ryder Cup participant Hunter Mahan is one of many voices calling for Woods to take over from Johnson. Other candidates like Phil Mickelson and Stewart Cink have ruled themselves out.
Woods, who tasted victory in the Ryder Cup only once back in 1999 at Brookline, has not yet commented on this development.
